It's time to come to terms with the fact that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + will not get the Android 10 update. However, this does not mean that Samsung has completely forgotten about them, as evidenced by the latest December update.
Some time ago, Samsung published a list of Galaxy smartphones that will receive an update to Android 10 with the One UI 2.0 overlay. Unfortunately, contrary to earlier rumors, it was missing Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +. The owners of both smartphones have to accept that they won't get any major updates.
However, this does not mean that Samsung completely forgot about its flagships from 2017. The manufacturer will provide them with regular security patches for several months, which he has just proved.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + are getting just now a new update for the December security fixes – only. Package with a mark * G95 FXXS6DSL2 is already available on selected European markets – according to the source website, also in Poland. Let me know if this is true.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + will receive such updates for a long time. I remind you that a year older Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge still get it, though only once in a while. Meanwhile, S8 and S8 + are on the list of monthly updates and it won't change quickly.
Is this Samsung support suits you, or maybe you feel sorry for the lack of updates to Android 10?
